The Ultimate Earth Day, Eco-Friendly Prom Dress: It's Made of Starburst Candy Wrappers

Instead of just chucking those used candy wrappers in the garbage, a Wisconsin teen turned them into her prom dress.

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt's the time of year when high school seniors are heading to prom—but we bet no one else on Earth Day will wear what Tara Frey will be sporting. The River Falls, Wisconsin teen is heading to prom in a dress made entirely out of Starburst candy wrappers. Frey's mom, Kerrin, began constructing the dress six years ago (someone's a long-term planner!) after watching another mom weave gum wrappers. Watch the video above to check out how they collected thousands of wrappers and constructed the dress. As unbelievable as this sounds, it gets better—Frey's prom theme just happens to be "Candyland."
