In the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, kids who are too young to carry guns are sometimes given whistles instead and sent out ahead of soldiers as cannon fodder. Needless to say, this is a really disturbing practice. An organization called Falling Whistles is trying to advocate for these and other children affected by the country's war. They're selling a variety of whistle necklaces and donating 100 percent of the proceeds to their efforts to protect and rehabilitate Congolese kids.
