Last week, when Dan Maes, a candidate for governor in Colorado, said Denver's bike-sharing program is just the first step in a sneaky U.N. power grab, it seemed kind of crazy. Yesterday he went on MSNBC to clarify. We now know that he is, in fact, crazy.
The U.N. program he's worried about is ICLEI. Poke around their website and learn of their diabolical plan to "help local government achieve their sustainable development goals" and their overbearing philosophy that "locally-designed initiatives can best achieve local, national and global sustainability objectives." You can read about the organization's pernicious work in Denver here.
