Marketplace's Kai Ryssdal has pored over all the submissions to our Make Sense of the Financial Mess contest, and has rendered a verdict.Jonathan Jarvis's two-part infographic (a static adaptation of his video about the credit crisis) is a "clear, concise explanation of what happens inside the magic box that is a collateralized debt obligation and the fallout we all feel when the contents go bad."Congratulations, Jonathan. You go home with the $500 prize.Second prize goes to Karen Ong, who, says Ryssdal, "lays out the global implications of the bust in the American real estate market." Karen, you get no money, but the honor of a second place victory. You can see the two winning submissions below. Thanks to everyone who participated, all the submissions were beyond impressive.
