Keeping foreign counterfeit and pirated goods outside the United States' borders is a daunting tast. Yet every year, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials manage to identify and seize tens of thousands of products—everything from ubiquitous fake Louis Vuitton handbags to imitation cancer drugs. Although easier on the wallet, these goods not only violate intellectual property rights; they can potentially put our health in danger.
