Gabriel Martinez Rios works seven days a week delivering food in New York City on his bicycle. He only makes $7.25 per hour plus tips. Paying for the things he depends on to do his job – his bike and his cell phone – is his responsibility. Someday, food delivery won’t be necessary, as we’ll either 3D print our munchies or just have them materialize out of some dope-ass future machine. But for now, let’s take a moment to appreciate folks like Gabriel, who we depend upon for timely delivery of the meals we wish we had the time and energy to cook ourselves.
