The above commercial, for the NTT Docomo Touch Wood mobile phone, is such a thing of beauty that I have to ask: If an agency creates a heartwarmingly inventive art project in the middle of the forest and there's no one around to see that it's an ad, does it still have creative integrity?

I think it does. If all ads were this inventive, then being bombarded by 3,000 of them each day—as most Americans are—might not be so bad.
