As we say goodbye to Jerry Falwell, it certainly is important to acknowledge the influence he had on American politics and society in the last 20 years. But, let's not forget all the truly stupid things he said. There is a great collection here. Besides the 9/11 humdinger that was atrocious enough to be mentioned in even the most objective obits, this one is a favorite: ""If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being." Rest in peace.
