Infographic Shows How Long it Takes English Speakers to Learn Other Languages
When it comes to learning a new language, one of the biggest factors in determining how long it might take is the similarity between the language you’re trying to learn and your native tongue. Using data from the Foreign Service Institute they listed the languages from easiest to learn to the hardest and based it on averaging about 25 hours per week spent learning the language. Each language is also ranked by how many people in the world speak it as their first language.
