Nuclear accidents and all, coal is our deadliest energy source. Energy expert Jesse Jenkins and our publisher discuss on the Dylan Ratigan Show.
A recent chart comparing the deaths caused per watt produced of key energy sources ignited a fiery debate about the relative merits of and problems with nuclear, oil, and coal.
To many who saw the chart, the issue boiled down to the relative safety of nuclear versus coal. While we don't think that the limited nuclear versus coal framing is fair or comprehensive (wind, concentrated solar, geothermal anyone?), it's an important and illuminating conversation nonetheless. Jesse Jenkins, Director of Climate and Energy Policy for the Breakthrough Institute, and GOOD publisher Ben Goldhirsh took the discussion to The Dylan Ratigan Show. Watch the segment above.
