Intermission: Pencil vs. Camera

Ben Heine's art combines elements of "magic, illusion, poetry and surrealism."

Artist Ben Heine is a visionary. His art, which uses both pencil and camera, combines elements of "magic, illusion, poetry and surrealism" to show that reality is easily covered by our perceptions. It's both refreshing and captivating to see an artist take some of the oldest and most prolific art forms and create something new.

Heine has drawn for 17 years and shot photos for eight years. After realizing he could combine his two visual passions he created what he calls "Pencil Vs Camera."
