The Freedom Tattoos project helps ex-cons’ transform their “hideous” prison tats into something gorgeous.
In an effort to help ex-convicts integrate more smoothly back into society, a Polish communication agency recently announced the creation of Freedom Tattoos, a project designed to “transform crude, hideous amateur tattoos made in prisons and juvenile detention centers into professional, socially well-perceived artistic tattoos.” Qualified professionals design and apply the cover tats to completely hide the prison ink, which can be a bit too much for mainstream society to handle.
