What may look like a nipple attachment is actually a menstrual cup used during a woman’s oh-so-heavenly time of the month. With proper care and cleaning, menstrual cups can be used for up to 10 years. Many women are attracted to the cost-cut and environmental waste reduction that menstrual cups provide. Tampons cost about $8 per box. That means the single purchase of a menstrual cup can save you around $96 a year. By using the cup, the exuberant amounts of tampons used each year are also kept out of the landfill. Additionally, there are no reported cases of toxic shock syndrome with the cups. Obviously, menstrual cups are the way of the future.
